# Web editor to switch between GUI and JSON data or only JSON for 1 parameter

Currently you either edit using the online editor or your send json using the sandbox or the sysex API.

Somethings are easier to accomplish in the editor while others work better while editing the JSON data directly.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the editor?:

1. can expose the full JSON of the template. Where you can switch back and forth.

2. The editor can show the JSON for just one parameter  
Including overlays etc.

yup, and the possibility to show / edit the JSON of `patch` object in devices. @tomas
