Some of you will notice that the beta editor has the “License key” section in the profile menu. Nothing is changing, our full-blown online editor is and will be free. The license keys will be used for
- Electra One emulator application that can run on the computer. It allows users to use E1 without the hardware as well as to use it as a secondary screen for hardware electra controllers.
- A fully offline preset editor - based on the online editor but fully local storage of projects and with extensions to integrate with the Claude Code and Visual Studio Code editor.
both apps will be made available soon with a 30-days trial period, the activation fee will be reasonable. After the activation, they will be fully offline (no license management servers, no subscription, etc)
