Hi, i’ve been quizzing ChatGPT over the weekend to find me a controller for an old MWII I just bought. Finding a proper controller to go beyond CC controls is more of a challenge than expected. The suggestion I had was the Novation Remote 25SL (or the Zero) which is a noble (and cheap $) option but I just fell that the endless amount of buttons would just confuse me more than anything. The other option GPT gave me (with query; modern, no keys, name per parameter, sysex) was basically the mk2… and nothing else, then discovered the Mini. Pretty cool device. I know NOTHING beyond CC’s but i’m motivated to slowly map out my Microwave II with Sysex… I’ll probably start with a CC preset for the Waldorf Protein first, it should be a bit easier. I’ll update my efforts when I get the Mini. Thanks to the devs for making this happen for me 
Note that the sysex for the microwave II is almost exactly the same as the XT.
So, if you start with one of the XT presets available and delete the few XT specific controls, you should be 90% or more of the way there.
