Configuration for Mini extended

The Configuration options for the Mini has been extended with several mk2 features:

  • Remote knobs
  • Midi control
  • Hardware buttons assignments
  • Router

Description of the features can be found at: Controller configuration

In short:

Remote knobs
Allows you to control 8 + 4 on screen parameters with external CC (absolute or relative). It can be used to pair your E1 with and external controller, computer, or trigger E1 messages (eg. sysex) with CCs.

MIDI control
Allows you to trigger E1 internal commands using MIDI messages (CC, Note, Program Change). It can be used to switch pages, presets, open windows. The idea is to allow external controllers to extend number of E1 “buttons” and improve your workflow.

Router
Allows you to define the flow of MIDI messages between the MIDI interfaces and ports.

Buttons
Allows you to customize functions assigned to the hardware buttons in both contexts, ie. preset context and the touch context.

Changes made to the Hardware button assignments are now fully applied on the controller after the controller restart. I will improve that.

mk2 provides a MIDI learn and editing of the configuration directly on the controller, I will see if I could do something similar on the Mini in near future. For now, the website is the only way to configure it.
