Relative instead of absolute fader mode in detailed fader view

I’m opening question, if it would be better to have relative mode instead of absolute (it is part of firmware now) of fader in detailed view (the big fader after long press/touch)? Because when I want to use detail view, I do it because I want make finer value changes by slower movement on bigger size scale of the detailed fader. It make no sense to me, that when I touch fader, it’s jumping in absolute mode and whole idea of gentle and subtle changes is ruined.
The difference is that in absolute mode the fader is placed at the point where you touch it. In relative mode it doesn’t move until you slide your finger. Personally I prefer relative mode, so even if I touch it by mistake it doesn’t do anything.

Any opinion?
Or it would be possible to have chance to switch between fader modes in settings menu?
Thanks!

Yep, makes sense. I do not use the detailed views myself, except for (long) option lists, where indeed the reason is to get more detail. Now that you mention your argument on faders, that might be the reason for me too why I disregard them.

What experience on detailed view uses do others have?
