Bootup failure

I was testing sending a midi message to the E1 mkII v3.6.1 from my Morningstar controller (a simple PC message to the CTRL port on channel 15 - CTRL port was perhaps a bad decision?) when the E1 app said the E1 lost connection and is now stuck on the bootup screen. I tried the suggested recovery method on the troubleshooting page but no luck. Windows says a USB device malfunctioned and is not recognized. Any suggestions?

that sounds strange. I will try to do the same to see if I can replicate it.

I guess your controller is most likely stuck at loading the default preset. To unblock it, use the bootloader to switch Electra to the USB Disk mode. (by pressing the Enable USB Disk button in the bootloader). When in the disk mode, use your computer to remove all files in the /ctrlv2/slots/ folder. That should do the trick. If not, let me know.

Thanks. I followed your suggested steps and deleted the contents of /ctrv2/slots/ and restarted. But the controller is still bricked. Welp!

I will reach out on the PM.
