This is the support topic for the Continuum Controller preset, which allows the Electra One to control the Haken Continuum Fingerboard and the EaganMatrix Eurorack Module.

Thanks for pointing that out @kiwigrass! For anyone else interested, check out LoopOp’s video Haken Slim 21 Continuum // The World’s Most Advanced Synth, Now Smaller & Cheaper, where he covers much of the hardware and software that can be connected to a Continuum. The brief but very positive section on this E1 preset starts at 5:10.

I can’t run it alongside the Haken editor somehow (get error from the editor and also the electra.one preset doesn’t work). This behavior is the same on an 46L2x and the slim 21

I have tried the following:

  1. connect the electra one port 1 under Ext1 in the haken editor - and nothing happens
  2. disconnect the electra ports from the ext1 in haken editor and started midi patchbay software mapping the continuum and the electra (same ports) and the haken editor throws an error plus the electra one does not control anything
  3. I close the continuum editor keep the midi patchbay and the electra preset for continuum works like a charm

ideas?

Running Continuum Controller concurrently with Haken Editor is not supported. @rkram53 and I have both tried it. You might be able to get them to coexist for a while. However, depending on exactly what you do, one or more of a few possible things will soon go wrong, making it impossible to continue. It would be very useful if this worked, but the architecture of the Haken firmware is incompatible with it.

too bad because it’s useful to take a peek at what the barrels do in the preset.. but at least now I know it’s not me
