Thanks for your non-stopping work on the Electra and so many controllers!

I finally upgraded. Huge improvement! All my qualms resolved. Thank you so much.

This is silly, I know, but just setting sensitivity to -100 makes me feel higher quality in the E1 hardware, and more value for the money.

I have also removed the touch combinations that I don’t use, reducing the risk of accidental screen switches. I am using the mouse less, and I’m starting to pay attention to what I still do with the mouse, and considering whether configuring an action would be better instead.

This is amazing. I’m so grateful, and this considering that a couple of months ago I was starting to reconsider things because for what I do, the E1 in Bitwig was doing too big jumps even at the slowest speed. Those amazing premium knobs weren’t producing an equally smooth experience in the software. Sensitivity -100 brings now the most of the knobs.

Suggestion: in the Transport page there is a Markers section and pressing a marker should play the transport directly.

Now the markers only work if Play is already playing. They don’t do anything if the transport is stopped. However, it makes sense to think that if a user is pressing a marker is because they want to listen to the project at the marker. Because the markers and the Play are in different sections and only one section can be active at a time, I find myself tapping markers - Play - markers too much and too often.

Enable “Launch”, which is the button left to the Play button.

Gasp! Works exactly as expected. It’s amazing how the brain can ignore a button next to another button.

Thank you very much!

Hi @moss ,

Love the plugin, and I have a very tricky request. As far as I can see, in Bitwig, when running a VST, it does not expose the VST changes.

This makes two-way communication impossible between the Electra and Bitwig. Well, unless I use the DrivenByMoss extension of course.

However I would really like to be able to use my own presets with VST devices, because that allows creating layouts, screens, and use the power of the presets and programming.

So I was thinking if there is there a way to make the Electra Bitwig extension do something like the following:

  1. listen to the changes in any plugin device on a track
  2. send those changes as CC messages to that track on channel 1

This way the messages can be routed to the Electra on a specific channel in Bitwig. Or maybe you have another suggestion or solution?

Ideally there would be a way to listen to these changes, but as far as I can see, in Bitwig you can only modulate the parameters of a Plugin device, not listen to the changing parameters. Or send them to an automation lane.

Not sure if I fully understood your question but in Bitwig you need to map the VST parameters to a Bitwig remote control parameter. Then to listen its changes you need to have a script/extension which sends them to the outside world.

Good time of the day,

Is it possible to make an option to change top right knob to control currently selected track instead of master? When I’m in device page and I tweak synth or effects I always change the track volume to mix it with the rest of track. Almost never need master volume.

Thank you!

Just wanted to say, after my E1 upgrade and me deciding to use Bitwig, this makes it a much better experience. The time you have spent making this compatible is truly appreciated. So thank you. Also good to see the E1 at Superbooth
