Electra One Cover (3D print)

I’ve designed a 3D printable cover for my Electra One’s. It came out quite nice so I thought I’d share it with you. I’ll put up the stl (or probably .3mf file since it’s multi-coloured) soon-ish for free so anyone with a printer can print their own. It rests on a brim on the inside of the cover, so not on the encoders. It’s quite a snug fit but not too snug. It’s easy to put on and take off.

I forgot to clean the printing bed before printing, so there is some discolouration on my print. I used Bambulab matte PLA (black and white) for printing on my Bambulab P1S printer.

Now we just need one for the E1 Mini!

Would this protect the encoders and display while the device is in transit? I’m looking for a case for the Mini, but a cover might provide even more protection depending on the case…..

Yeah, this would definitely protect it enough. I’d put something like a rubber band around it to keep the cover in place.

I don’t have a Mini but based on the dimensions I could probably whip up at least a prototype.

I have shared the simplified 3D models in this thread: 3D model

Simplified = exterior data only, no internal superstructures included.

I will try to print one today, but I expect that changing colours on my old prusa mk3s will be pain

I think there are 5 colour changes in the model, so hopefully not too much hassle… But if you want I can send you a cover @martin , no worries!

I’ll look in to the Mini, I took the model you made for the Mk-I & Mk-II as a guideline for this one. So I should be able to make one for the Mini the same way.

I will give it a try first. I need to upgrade printers anyways we still print everything on prusa mk3ses
