Font broken mk1

Dears,

My mk1 has broken fonts since this morning(a blue square instead of labels). I followed the instructions and made a factory reset, a firmware reupload but nothing changes. Is my unit broken?

Hi @duster, it looks like that the font-file on your internal SD card got corrupted. It can be fixed by taking the following steps: Update your controller using this firmware - firmware-3.0-a.20.img.zip (317.8 KB) disconnect electra connect electra to the USB port press and hold the left-middle button when the boot up animation is active (this will format the internal SD card). Sometimes the browser recovery does not work. In such case, download the .syx file from the Factory reset page using the “Download the file manually” link. Once you have the .syx file follow the following steps:

1. Connect the USB cable with the left-middle button pressed.
2. Disconnect the USB cable and connect it again
3. Use a SysexLibrarian (Mac) or MidiOX (windows) to upload the file to the controller. It is important that this is done as the first thing after the controller boots up. Use the CTRL (mac) or MIDIIN3 (windows) port.
4. Once the transfer is completed, restart the controller.

If this does not help, the internal SD card might be dead or corrupted. I can provide more info on how to fix that if needed.

Many thanks for your answers! Apparently the .imgs i tried are corrupted (win11 here). I can’t find the sysex you suggested, could you provide me a link please?

Ok i find the .syx from another thread… It worked!
