There are situations were the values of a fader can be shown outside the fader, and hence aren’t cleaned up anymore.
To reproduce it, take the [LUA] Value formatting Preset, go to the Fractions fader, and change only the Max Value to 20 so you get an asymmetric fader:
In the (now smaller) positive area, the fader will move from 0 to 1.0 in 0.1 increments.
Move the fader around in the positive area: Now notice how the 0.7 value is shown at the right side of the pointer, but partly outside of the fader, hence it doesn’t get cleaned up anymore.
- The situation is more or less theoretic since asymmetric faders will be seldom used.
