Thanks for this fail-safe tutorial.

For some reason, my “classic” electra.one (#0365) got stuck in such state after the 3.5.4 update, when managing the profile collection.

Restoring the SD content after having disassembled the unit did not work.

Corrupted controller configuration

When the configuration file is not preset, E1 normally creates a new one with the default configuration. Uploading a backup should work too. This is the default configuration: setup.cfg (702 Bytes) It must be placed in /ctrlv2/ directory on the sdcard. If needed this is the full “image” of the sd card: sd.zip (1.9 MB) After making changes to the configuration or sd card contents outside of the app.electra.one, you may need to force reload the Controller page in the web browser to see them.

The SysEx had to be sent to the « Electra Controller » MIDI port, whilst the web based manager is detecting the unit on the « MIDIIN3 (Electra Controller) and « MIDIOUT3 (Electra Controller) » ports afterward.

Re-did the whole process, using MIDI-OX to send the SysEx, and voilà! Thanks again.
