I’m trying to get back a preset I made from the web editor and sent to the Mini, because I’d like to modify it.
Unfortunately I accidentally deleted it from the “my presets” section on the website.
I’ve tried the “import from Electra” function, in the “CONTROLLER/PRESET SLOTS” menu, but it won’t work. Either it does nothing, or it sends me to the “my presets” page, but nothing else happens.
Also, I don’t know if it’s a really useful information, but I mention it just in case :
When the preset I’m trying to import is already selected on the controller, the “Import from Electra” button appears on the website, but if I click on another preset in the list and then click back on the preset I’m trying to import, the “import from electra” button has disapparead, it’s completely blank.
Anyway, whether the button appears or not, the import function doesn’t work.
I’ve tried different web browsers, different usb ports, deactivating all webbrowser’s extensions, checked the authorizations, I even tried to do it on another computer, but it still doesn’t work, which makes me think that the preset may be “corrupted” in a way or another.
Is there a way to force the import using a software or something like this ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just ran into the same issue myself - wanted to restore a preset from Electra where my private project got a bit messed up due to an involuntary save. After deleting it from “My presets” view to make the import button appear, go to Controller → Preset Slots, clicking on import brings the app to the “My presets” view but nothing is actually imported. Happens on both Chromium (151.0.7922.137) and Firefox (154), running on Linux (Fedora 44). Controller firmware v4.1.4, MkII Electra.
This was certainly working some time last year when I last needed it.
Wondering now if there are workarounds available. Enabling USB disk access from the bootloader looks promising but just hangs when I try to access it. There’s file transfer SysEx API, but learning that just to write a one-time tool for downloading … would be easier to just pull the SD card from the device 
(mind, this is not some “lost months of work” critical thing, would’ve been faster to just recreate the lost control than write this description, so just a bug report + wondering aloud)
I’ve been through exactly the same problem. I am on E1 Mkii, but I think it’s the same.
- No, the “Import from Electra” function does not work.
- If you connect your E1 as a USB Storage Device, you’ll get access to the folder structure, where each preset folder will contain a few files, including JSON and LUA, which are basically all you need to “restore” a preset.
That’s how I successfully restored a couple of presets I lost in exactly the same way: deleted them from My Presets folder on the web app, and only had them left on the device itself.
