Hi,
I’m building a preset for a VST synth that has a LOT of parameters (I listed over 140).
Is there any workaround to overcome the 128 limit ?
Thanks for any insights !
If you use CCs, you can possibly use another MIDI channel?
Thx for the prompt reply.
If i use 2 channels, i can try to set vst channel to « any ». But i’m not sure how to handle then the device setting on the Electra.

Nrpn?
With NRPN you can have as many as 16384 parameters.
thx @Electrolove and @markus.schloesser.
I knew that NRPNs could send values beyond 0-127 but had never realized they had a MSB and LSB in their “number” as well.
Do you know if the standard/basic “learn cc” found in the VST synths usually only work with basic CCs (hence with number and value ranging from 0 to 127), or if it would alos accept an NRPN sent from the electra ?
Not sure about that. I guess it depends on the VST you are using if it supports NRPN. Electra can handle NRPN, no problem. I use it all the time for my hardware synthesizers. If I were you, I’d look in the manual for the VST you’re using to see if there’s anything about it.
Best to read the manual. What vst are we talking about?
