Hi Mate

Ive just downloaded your Roland TB3 preset ..awesome work BTW Thanks

My question is I’ve hooked The TB3 up to the usb host, and it didn’t see it, should it power it up ?, do you need to switch on the host in software ?? I’ve tried a 2 usb cables

wouldn’t know… I’ve never connected any synth directly on the E1 via USB.

I only use the USB host for connecting to a MIDI controller like a keyboard or an external fader/knob bank.

What for sure will work (perhaps you need to tweak settings on the TB3)

  • connect directly between synth and E1 using 2 DIN-MIDI cables
  • connect the E1 via 2 DIN-MIDI cables to a MIDI router like Mio XL or Mio XM, and from there on, connect the TB-3 via USB.
