Electra not recognized by computer despite power being on

I can’t seem to have the computer recognize Electra (mk2), even though it’s powered on, splash progress bar finishes and preset is loaded normally. everything works in the menu, just the device isn’t recognized by the computer. I’ve tried rebooting, factory reset, etc, and nothing seems to fix it.

i also have an Electra mk1 that is booting normally with the same preset.

what operating system are you using?

If you connect mk2 to mk1 USB host port. Does mk1 recognize it?

mac os x 13.7.3
mk1 does not recognize it either

I will ask Zdenek to send you a shipping label for the servicing if you agree?

thanks, of course!

in the meantime, can i upload mk1 to v4 or 3.5.4 is the max it supports?

3.5.4 is the max you can do now on the mk1

I am having the same issue. I was running 3.6.1 and it was working just fine. Just updated to the latest version 4.1.0, and now the ports are not showing up in the app (they are showing up just fine in MacOS MIDI Studio - I also deleted them there and got them to be recreated on power up). This seems like a software problem. Reverting to 3.6.1 makes it show up again (but then I get told I need to update the firmware). I have a Mk2 v3.0.

UPDATE: after reflashing to 4.1.0 a second time it now seems to be working.

UPDATE 2: I take that back. It still doesn’t show up reliably with 4.1. Sometimes it does. sometimes it doesn’t.

sadly the ports aren’t showing in MIDI studio, nor does the device mount a drive when i switch it locally to USB Disk. No activity in OSX logs either.
