E1 mk2 cannot connect

Hi there,

please help: my E1mk2 cannot connect to my MacStudio 2 in webmidi, while smoothly connects to my intel MacBook Pro, and frankly I am running the same way within Google Chrome.
Any hidden gem idea how to resolve this issue?

Thanx for your reply

Hi,

the very first step is to check if your MacStudio recognizes the device. First, as the USB device and then as the USB Midi device.

USB device:

  1. Open the System Information app your Mac
  2. Click on the USB item in the Hardware section of the sidebar
  3. Do you see Electra One device there?

USB MIDI Device:

  1. Open the Audio Midi Setup app on your Mac
  2. Choose Show Midi Studio in the Window menu item
  3. Check if you can see Electra Controller in there, and see if it is highlighted (ie. active)

If so, check if other applications (DAW, MIDI Monitor, etc) can see your Electra One.

If they do, there’s something with Chrome/webmidi only. If not, the issue is somewhere on the OS level.

Dear Martin,

thank you so much for your detailed help. I checked and managed to find Electra One under USB devices in System information, and Audio Midi Setup and even my Logic Pro see this under Settings / MIDI. Unfortunately, when app.electra.one is opened, MIDI is permitted, this message arrives: ‘Your Electra One is not connected. Connect it to the computer using the bundled USB cable.’
I tried to connect it via my USB HUB, and both directly to the MacStudio USB-A socket, neither way worked B((((

Any more idea, please?

Thank you in advance

Peter
