Firmware 4.1.4 doesn't announce itself on boot

I bought an E1 a while ago and did not have much opportunity to use it. Now I’m trying to get back to it; so the first thing I did was update its firmware.

Before the firmware update, when I connected it to my PC, it would show a spash screen announcing firmware 4.0.0. After the update, it shows only an abbreviated splash screen with the Electra One logo and URL, and then goes immediately into normal run mode. If I launch the web app, it informs me that it is running 4.1.4. The E1 itself appears to be working normally.

But shouldn’t it be telling me what release it’s running? Or did that go away between 4.0.0 and 4.1.4?

It did go away. The reason is that the startup time was shortened to the point where displaying any information on the splash screen no longer makes much sense. We decided to favor a shorter startup time over showing the version information.

The firmware version can be found in the System tab of the Settings screen, or in the Controller section of the online editor.
