Mac OS Catalina disk image mounting problem

I am trying to install firmware-2.1.7.img
but weirdly my Mac doesn’t like the disk image format?
firmware-2.1.7.img I haven’t actually ever seen this dialog before. Doe anyone else have that problem?

You have to open the .img in the electra one console app to send it to the electra… It‘s not an macOS image.

yup, as @studiobischof mentioned. the firmware-x.x.img files are binary images of the firmware that need to be loaded to the hardware controller. To do so, Electra One Console Mac/PC application must be used.
