My E1 Mini is firing off messages all by itself, when I’m not touching it. Is there some sort of calibration I need to do?
please share the URL of the preset with me (PM). It will help me to understand how and if the messages relate to the controls in the preset.
I am not much familiar with the MidiOX, I can see that the timestamps of those messages are not really “close” to each other. Do they appear in longer intervals between them? Like seconds? Or are they showing up all instantly in the same moment?
Hi Martin,
Thanks for the prompt response! Here is the preset.
The messages come through separately, about 2 or 3 seconds apart. Initially I thought it was a scratchy encoder that was freaking out, but it seems to be coming from multiple encoders (the “Data1” column above identifies the encoder)
Update - I downloaded your Cube LFO and if I set the horizontal/vertical movement to 0, it goes silent and does not send any messages. So, maybe it is my preset??
Could you try the following:
- load and activate the preset you shared with me earlier
- disconnect your Mini from the computer
- power it with a powerbank or a wall charger (ie. no computer)
- turn all the knobs (excluding the one assigned to PWR control) to value 64 (it’s the LALA page

- leave it like that for some extended time, say 30 minutes
- check if all values are still 64
Hi Martin,
I did as you say and within 1 minute they were already changing values. And they are not just stepping by “1” at a time, sometimes they jump 20 or 30 units at once. “Gain” and “Mix” seem to be epsecially active.
I will reach out on the PM later - to arrange a replacement for you. It looks like that the ADC on your units is not working correctly. I have had four test units here running the same test since yesterday - none of them moved by single digit.
Hi Martin,
Just in case its helpful, here is a video. The unit is plugged into the wall.
