I am trying to solve the mystery of correctly powering up the E1 mini, because:
- When powered through socket (with various cables, sockets and plugs), I am always receiving crackles when turning knobs and sometimes lagged ghost touches
- When powered through laptop (three different ones tried), the crackles stop but ghost touches get a lot worse
So far the best, but still suboptimal results I got when powering Mini is from USB-A slot on Bluebox 1010music, which is surprising given the fact that this slot was always unstable for any other kind of usb-powered device.
The user guide says get powered USB hub or better cable, so far I find only this product which should allow powering from one USB C slot: https://www.alza.cz/akasa-usb-type-c-4-in-1-hub-ak-cbca31-18bk-d8020362.htm, but I am worried that if the hub will be powered through the socket, the crackles/ghost touches won’t be solved and I don’t want to use laptop in my dawless setup.
Do you think that will solve my issue? AI says get this one, but I think that is overkill: https://www.alza.cz/silentpower-idefender-usb-c-c-levne-d13247207.htm
Have you find any other workaround? Thanks!
