I recently acquired a second Pro-800. Not to extend the voice amount to 16, but rather to use them in dual mode. The sound is very rich when playing the same patch, one fully panned left and the other panned right.
Using the Electra we can go one step further: when tweaking a parameter what if we send the same parameter to the other synth, but with a slightly different value offset randomly within a range (but keeping this offset steady in % while on the same patch).
Has anyone done similar things on an electra I could use as inspiration?
And what other parameters (besides fine tune, filter , resonance and EG parameters) should be considered getting such a random offset?
The idea is to get good musical results when the offset range is kept small.
