Working on my Korg DSS-1+ preset and whenever I change patches on the DSS-1 it sends out program change messages over MIDI… That of course messes with the E1 as well as it tries to switch to another preset… How do I stop this?

Hi @eusti, how is your DSS-1 connected? Electra reacts to program changes when they are received on the USB CTRL port. They should be ignored DIN ports.

Thank you so much for getting back to me about this. It is connected through DIN ports but I have everything ganged up in MIDI Fire as I’m still not sure which connections are actually needed…

I am not familiar with the MidiFire. From your diagram, however, it looks like are routing everything from the Motu to the all three USB device ports of your Electra One. If so, the program changes will land on the Electra CTRL port and the controller will interpret them as program changes to switch presets / snapshots. Try adjusting the routing in the MidiFire so that the MIDI traffic from the Motu is not routed to the Electra CTRL port.

I disconnected my Electra One CTRL Port through Midi Fire which helped! Thank you!!!
