Usb hub freezes the E1 on 4.1.3

I’m using a usb hub to connect a launchpad and an eurorack module since the firmware version 4.0.0

never had any issue

but after the latest firmware update (4.1.3) the E1 freezes keeping them plugged in as usual

I have to unplug the power and one of the two usb to make it work properly….

tried using the 4.1.2 again and works perfectly as previously

is there a way to solve it?

There were changes to the USB Host implementation. I tested it with everything we have available in the workshop but there are apparently hubs and devices that do not like the recent changes. @davehouse reported the same issue and provided some going pointers. I will be looking at this weekend. If it is a showstopper for you, downgrade to 4.1.2 for the time being. It is perfectly safe. The 4.1.2 can be found on Electra One firmware | Electra One Documentation .

Could you share information about the hub and exact models of the connected USB devices? Thanks!

the hub has three usb ports and an ethernet one, no external power supply

the devices connected are

  • launchpad mini mk3
  • expert sleepers disting nt

and I don’t have any gig in the next period

so no rush on my side

thanks anyway

The USB part seems to be resolved. I also improved the manufacturer / model reading - Korg NanoKontrol was not showing it but It does now. @davehouse reported some more stuff - I will be looking at it tomorrow.
