Hey folks,
Here’s the Iridium preset I’ve made.
If you’re familiar with this synthesizer line, you’ll know that you can map pretty much any function to MIDI CC, so it’s pretty flexible in that regard. There’s a couple thousand functions but only about 115 MIDI CC you can map to. With this preset I’ve tried my best to explain the mapping process and given the mapping that I’ve used that would have to be entered in the .mimap file the Iridium uses.
The support log file the Iridium creates when you save logs will list the Pid# for each function. The .mimap file lists each available MIDI CC, so find the # for a function you want to map and put that in the .mimap MIDI CC entry and load it in the synthesizer (using the microSD card).
I made this preset with some help through forum diving and finding out first how to map MIDI CC to functions in the device using files the device can read and then how to use those mappings with the Electra One MkII. Once the .mimap file is loaded on the Iridium, the MIDI CCs are set and the Electra One MkII should be able to control the functions I’ve selected.
There are some functions that I mapped that didn’t work out (like selecting type of waveform or filter or digiformer shape), so this is a work in progress while I find a better way to organize it and include useful functions.
