While trying get my device out of a frozen state that was persistent through startup, I deleted the entire “ctrlv2” folder on the USB disk. While that fixed the startup freeze, I’m now unable to save presets to the device (they’re lost on restart) and several LUA tutorial templates from the preset library are mostly non-functional (e.g., not sending out MIDI data from LUA scripts, no logging from LUA scripts with the log level set to TRACE in the debugger). I’m afraid that this is happening because the OS expects some directories and files to be present to work normally.
Is there a way to factory reset the device? I’ve found a thread on this forum where it was explained that you just need to keep the middle left button pressed during startup, but after the startup progress bar reaches the end, the device just freezes again and doesn’t react to anything.
