Host connection corrputing device on startup

I have an Intuitive Instruments Exquis connected to the host port of my MKII. Recently, when I turn the E1 on, the Exquis starts corrupted (dim LEDs, random buttons and pads lighting up, nothing works as it should) and I have to do a factory reset. This seems to be since updating to 4.1.1 - it happened very occasionally before but now it happens every time. This doesn’t happen to the Exquis when using other devices with a host port.

It seems like it might be a power issue, although after a factory reset the E1 powers the Exquis perfectly, so perhaps something to do with how it’s connecting and providing power via the host port on boot up?

can you try to use a powered USB hub to connect Exquis? That would help to see if the issues are related to the power drawn by that controller.

Good idea, I’ll try. The Exquis people are also looking into it as apparently it happens occasionally under other use cases, too
