Anyone got any tips on a decent USB which will power the unit? None of mine seem to work! Anyone in the UK/EU found one which definitely does work so as to spare me buying a whole load of hopeless ones?
The cable that came with the unit can’t be used? I must say, I haven’t heard of cable issues in a long time. Could the problem be with the USB power source instead? Where are you connecting your controller?
The cable isn’t long enough to reach the socket. There’s an FAQ about long cables and cable which won’t carry enough power. I’ve tried a few and they’ve all got problems. They all do the flashing screen thing and odd self selection on the screen.
both are symptoms of the voltage drop on the cable. Long cables tend to do that when the power draw is higher.

I should say, the included cable does work, just not optimal for my setup in terms of length.
I’ll experiment more!
Try decreasing the brightness to find the optimum balance of cable length and the screen comfort.
